Experience
I've tutored children through philanthropy programs set up by a former employer, as well as during my time at University. I enjoy writing, and I enjoy working with kids of all ages -- and when I discuss with others what I'd like to do years from now, the prospect of teaching full-time (ideally AP English) inevitably comes up. In addition to an otherwise mundane career in mortgage finance, I spend approximately 25% of my working hours with a former presidential speechwriter preparing all manners of internal and external communications. To the extent that this isn't the place for immodesty, this former Clinton-then-Bush employee long ago labeled me a "master copy-editor."
