Experience
I attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where I obtained my BS in Microbiology. I went on to receive my master's in the Russian Language and Linguistics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a master's in Biotechnology at George Washington University. I have always been delighted with nature, language, and science, and when I tutor students, I am able to share that excitement with them, which inspires them to love learning the way I do. I have taught both Russian and general biology classes in a classroom setting, as well as classes in microbiology and anatomy and physiology. I appreciate the opportunity to work individually with students, guiding them as they learn various math and science subjects. I pride myself on being able to create a comfortable and safe environment, where they feel confident to dig into scientific concepts, solving problems, and learning from their errors. Some of my hobbies include classical music, hiking, biology, and spending time with my family, including working as a volunteer in my child's classroom at times.
