Private tutor in Arlington, VA
Howard University - Bachelors, Biology , The George Washington University - Masters, Special Education
I have always enjoyed helping children with special needs learn valuable life skills and academic topics. I have over nine years of experience teaching special education, which has only strengthened my commitment to teaching. I have taught students with a wide variety of backgrounds and intellectual abilities. Right now, I work as a high school special education instructor. I have experience teaching in both group situations and one-on-one. I have thirteen students in my class currently. I believe in working closely with each pupil and designing a lesson plan that helps them learn the most information possible. I also strongly believe in staying in contact with each child's parents and involving them in the lesson plans. I have an extensive educational background. I have earned my bachelor's degree in Science-Biology and my master's degree in Special Education. I also worked as a class sponsor for three years, where I mentored students. I believe that my education and experience helping children with special needs makes me a great tutor. I can help your child with mathematics and science courses. When I am not in the classroom, you can find me visiting museums, traveling, and reading. I am looking forward to meeting your child and helping them reach and exceed their academic goals!
