Experience
I am a teacher who specializes in special education. I have three years of experience with elementary aged children and five years of experience in special education. I have a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders. I also have a master's degree in Psychology. Right now I work with students who plan to attend college. While I am qualified to teach many different things and different age groups, my favorite age group to teach is primary school children. With children in middle school and higher, I do enjoy working on social studies, reading, writing, and more. When tutoring, especially young kids, I find that it is most important to break each subject down into easy to understand lesson plans. Every child learns differently, so I pay close attention to what they need to work on the most. I have tutored in small groups before and I am now looking to help children one-on-one as well. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy many different hobbies. I love to cook and visit museums. I also love being outside, especially in peaceful autumn! I am looking forward to working with pupils in all walks of life.
