I attended Minnesota State University-Moorhead, where my major was international studies with a minor in economics. After graduating from this institution, I am now in a transition year. My goal is to eventually enter a master's program that leads to a degree in either public policy or economics. I have been tutoring for nearly two years at the writing center in my school. I can tutor many different subjects, including elementary math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, reading, essay editing and writing, grammar and mechanics, and English. I also have experience teaching ESL/ELL. My tutoring expertise includes helping students do well on standardized exams, such as the SAT and PSAT. My approach in tutoring sessions is to interact with students to get to know their particular needs and interests. Similarly, I encourage students to participate in sessions so that they remain interested. In my free time, I like to read, bike, and watch television shows.
