Hello, my name is Sara and I have over ten years of experience working with children in various stages of my life and have been a student myself past the graduate level, and can help students achieve their learning goals in a wide variety of subjects. I understand the apprehensiveness a parent has towards introducing a tutor to their child and their desire for a successful tutor-student relationship, and I am committed to nurturing that bond and equipping the children I work with the tools to excel. There is no master formula in approaching a tutoring session, and it should be personalized for each student, and that is my approach. My goals are formed based on looking at the child's needs and listening to the parent's concerns. I'm a professional that uses the fundamental skills in my everyday work and have experience in a range of fields. I will help students identify problems and focus on individual needs and can even provide tutoring via online and Skype to better accommodate a schedule, or a mixture of both online and in-person meetings. I pursued undergraduate studies at the Catholic University of America in Political Science and went on to pursue graduate studies in program management at Georgetown University and now work as a professional in the federal government.
