I am a tutor that focuses on the subjects mainly dealing with social studies. I also sometimes tutor in math as well. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History and Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh. I also continued into graduate school in the University of Pittsburgh and got a Master of Arts in Teaching. This master's degree was concentrated in social studies. I have become adept tutoring students in math for an after school program. My pastime activities include biking, cooking, and touring around the city of Pittsburg. Besides scholastic tutoring, I have been a coach with the girls track team and also played softball. I have an sympathetic attitude and love to reach out to my students. I really love seeing children advance and have academic success. I try to bond with my students because I know that kids of middle school age need role models to get through the emotional trial times of adolescence. I am a great animal lover and regularly do volunteer work for the local animal welfare league. This activity with the animals is something many of my students relate to and they open up to me more when we talk about pets. I know I can tutor students so they excel in their studies and also give them emotional guidance.
