Experience
I attended Grand Valley State University and acquired a bachelor's degree in physics. Currently, I am enrolled at George Washington University where I am in the process of completing the PhD program. I would have to say that physics is my main interest. However, I do have a dedication to mathematics as well. Because of my experience and affection for mathematics and physics, I am currently offering my tutoring services in both. I have several years of teaching experience. I was a teacher's assistant while an undergraduate. While a teacher's assistant, I primarily worked with students in a laboratory setting. Upon my graduation from Grand Valley State University, I was employed as an adjunct professor in the physics department. As an adjunct professor, I spent a lot of time running my own labs. Currently, I am a teacher's assistant for a physics course. My current position as a teacher's assistant allows me to help students in a one-on-one manner. As for my tutoring and teaching style, I enjoy tailoring lessons that are fun to learn. It is important that the students can relate to what is being taught. While working in one-on-one settings, I spend a lot of time customizing lesson plans to serve individual needs and skill levels.
