#### Education

UVA - BA, Physics#### Experience

I have a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Virginia. I also went to George Mason to earn an education degree. I have worked as a science and math teacher for more than thirteen years. While I taught at various grade levels, my primary focus was math for middle school students. I have also helped students in science and math, with a main focus on trigonometry, algebra, physics, and geometry. I also enjoy other subjects such as earth science, life sciences, precalculus, pre-algebra, geometry, biology, and chemistry.I spent many years preparing students for competitions, such as math meets. I help my students by trying to make the subjects useful, relatable, and fun for them. I believe that there needs to be a high comfort level and connection between the tutor and the students in order for confidence to develop. In my free time, I enjoy photography, marine biology, and sports. I even taught a black and white photography enrichment course for many years. I am an avid diver and taught marine biology enrichment courses. When it comes to sports, I am not just a fan and a player, but I have served as a coach as well.#### Hobbies
