I am a recent graduate from Colby College where I majored in Math and Statistics and minored in Environmental Studies.
Experience
I understand as well as anyone else that some subjects are more challenging to some students. I like to use this knowledge to help students figure out techniques that work for them so that they can master any material. I find that this is especially important with a subject like math which is a skill used across many subjects and throughout daily activities. I tutored fellow students at Colby during my junior and senior year both officially through the math department and unofficially as my tutoring capabilities were spread by word of mouth. I helped students achieve their goals whether it was simply passing a class or changing a good grade to an outstanding grade. I've taken all of the pre-reqs through Calculus as well as all of the necessary math classes to allow me to receive a degree in mathematics.
