I am a current PhD candidate at Georgetown University, studying Modern East Asian political history and US-East Asia Relations. I previously served as Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. I have previously taught high school and college students in a variety of subjects, including history, foreign languages, and essay writing. I have advanced Chinese language skills, and have successfully passed the Georgetown University Chinese Language Proficiency Examination for doctoral students. In addition, I have taught a summer course on SAT writing preparation/expository writing for high school students. I have experience teaching children of all ages, as well as adults. I pay close attention to the learning style and particular needs of each student. I am available beginning in September 2013.
