My mother is a teacher and I always valued caring for and teaching those younger than me. My first year in college, I started substitute teaching for grades k-5 and have been substitute teaching since. I volunteered to help with an after-school tutoring program for about six months in 2009 and regularly volunteer for nursery and other childcare programs at my church. I have a great deal of patience and compassion and address every child's academic needs as unique. I believe in testing different modalities to find the best fit for the student. Each child has in them the potential to be the best version of themselves and I inspire students to constantly develop their potential. Currently I'm employed as a substitute with Fairfax County, which includes a valid background check. My small business is developing music-based curriculum for Elementary age children. I am also tutoring a high school student in various subjects once a week, and have two other students who are learning voice.
