I am an editorial assistant at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. I edit in both Chicago and AP style all the original reports our scholars publish. I also edit newsletters, blog posts, emails, testimonies, and more. I graduated from the University of Missouri (magna cum laude) with bachelor's degrees in journalism and English and as a University Honor's student. My GPA was 3.8, and I made the dean's list every semester so far. I graduated high school from Joliet Catholic Academy with a 3.7 GPA.
Experience
I was a member of the National Honors Society in high school, and therefore tutored freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior students in all subjects. During my time at the University of Missouri, I have tutored a number of international students in English and have specifically focused on improving their conversation skills in English. I also tutored freshman to help them adjust to planning, organizing, and balancing a tight schedule, while simultaneously tutoring them in subjects such as English and writing. I was in all honors in high school, and also took AP U.S. History, AP European History, AP Government, and AP English. I want to be a tutor because I truly love helping others! I love the look on a students face when a new concept finally clicks in their head, and I was able to help lead him or her to understanding that concept. Altogether, tutoring is a really rewarding experience! I also work as a teacher at my church's Kid's Life group, which means I help lead kids ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade.

Hobbies
I have a variety of hobbies and interest. I love to play the piano, and have since I was 7 years old. Reading is my favorite past time, with some of my favorite authors including Jane Austen, Shakespeare, and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Besides reading and playing piano, I love to play sports or go for hikes. In high school, I was on the softball, volleyball, and basketball team.
