Tutoring is a great way to inspire others to develop a liking for your area of expertise. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in any subject -- some students just need the material presented in a unique format. I was a tutor for middle school students, from under-resourced neighborhoods, in science and math for the Higher Achievement program for 3 years. I was also a reviewer and editor at The George Washington University Writing Center. I have strong expertise in editing essays to improve clarity and eliminate grammatical errors. I am also a native Russian speaker and have previously tutored an undergraduate student in this subject. I really enjoy working closely with students to enhance their understanding of a subject area.
