Experience
I am currently on my second of two gap years in between undergrad and grad school, and I aim to spending my time teaching others. I am currently substitute teacher at Sidwell Friends School and completing research for Stanford. I have been tutoring students since high school, and I intend to continue teaching as I progress through an eventual career in academia. I have completed and excelled in the PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP US History, AP Government, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Language and Composition. I am studying to become a disease ecologist; this means that I draw on computer modeling, mathematics, life sciences, and environmental science to understand how animal and plant interactions contribute to human disease. While I obtained a broad academic base through Stanford, I am most proficient in teaching math (all levels), science (biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, anatomy and physiology) and computer science.

Hobbies
In the past few years, I really threw myself into outdoor sports. I started rock climbing, surfing, hiking, backpacking, and snowboarding. Now, I spend a lot of time rock climbing indoors and planning for my next big outdoor climbing trip. Outside of climbing and work, I love to read, hike, and paint.
