ExperienceI have mostly worked with students that have disabilities, so I have learned how to make the lesson plans unique to each child's needs. I have over two years of experience tutoring math and English at the elementary and middle school level. I can help you with elementary and middle school math to grades kindergarten through twelve, as well as English Literature Arts, and the verbal section of the GRE. I believe in empowering pupils to succeed. I focus on giving my students the strategies and tools necessary to problem-solve. I want them to be successful on their own.
As far as my professional and academic experiences, I have plenty. I have my Bachelor in English and one in Biblical Studies. Right now, I am working on my PH.D. in Semitics/Hebrew Bible. Before I started studying at grad school, I worked as a DC teaching fellow. As such, I taught middle school math and English in Special Education for two years in the DC public school district. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I love trying new restaurants, listening to music, and going on bike rides. I look forward to helping you or your child meet or exceed your academic goals.
