Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts - Bachelors, Fine Art Study , George Washington University - Current Grad Student, Museum Studies
I'm currently a graduate student at George Washington University, where I am working towards an advanced degree in museum studies. For a large portion of my adult life, I had the privilege of empowering students through one-on-one tutoring sessions. I believe that everyone deserves the same access to education, and that anyone can be a good student provided they're able to work with a teacher willing to go the extra mile to see them succeed. When teaching, I like to adopt a student-centered approach that incorporates activities and teaching aids into each lesson. Teaching and learning should not be confined to textbooks. Instead, education should be about developing skills that we carry with us throughout our lives. I understand that everyone has a different learning preference, and that when students aren't taught in a way that works for them, they're more likely to become bored and struggle to keep up with the material. For this reason, I try to get to know all of my pupils learning preferences, as well as their strengths and weaknesses, so that I'm able to come up with material that's been designed for them. Along with teaching, I like to spend my time watching Korean comedies, cooking, and practicing Chinese.
